Mass Effect Message Board  

hey guys,
i have a really serious problem while playing Mass Effect. the game loads properly and runs properly too uptill the point when Shepard takes command of the Normandy. after giving his speech to the crew i take him to the galaxy map and hit Enter to select which planet i want to start with. but as soon as i hit the Enter button...i get a loading icon and the screen stays blank and a message displays telling me to hit left mouse button to zoom in to scan or land on a planet...after that the screen stays blank...nothing happens. is it a hardware issue or a software issue? is it because i use certain cheat codes that i'm not supposed to use at that time...like unlockachievement etc. please help me. thanx.

get a new one, ive had this problem before and ive had to get a new game, it sucks

can't anything be done to get the one i have working?..maybe a savegame file or something?

Hi m8 u have to get a new crack for the game it happened for me, then i got a new crack and it works like a charm.

check gamecopyworld they have it.

Indeed it's the crack.

The Reloaded, Detonation and Vitality cracks are nuked, so they won't work.

Instead get the currently functioning iND crack which will make the Galaxy Map function properly, make quick and general saving possible and fix the weapon cooldown bug.

Note that if you have internet connected then you can start the game without a crack as the game runs fine without a disc, if it can be identified by the server.

For offline play you'll need the iND exe.
