There are no requirements. Just have a team and FC. If your team checks out legally, you have the position.
I have a question regarding the DS and Pokemon Diamond.
When I buy them and I get the National Pokedex or whatever it's called in D/P then can simply just put in Emerald, F/L, or R/S and import the Pokemon I want from there? I also heard they couldn't have HMs, so I would have to go to the move deleter and then import them?
you can put pokemon from FireRed, LeafGreen, Ruby, Saphire, and Emerald on to pokemon diamind and pokemon pearl
