I’ve compared this mod to the mod I found the other week. The mod I found the other week was uploaded to the following website
Link by jord932003. I gave the direct link to the mod files page where you can see on the first page jord has three mods regarding instant recruits. Two are for RTW and one is for RTW: BI. In regards to the two RTW mods, one was uploaded on 9/16/07 while his second which works for all factions was uploaded on 11/29/07.
Jord’s mod does NOT instantly build spy, diplomat and assassin. You have to wait for those three. Now, BlueCyrus posts a mod which does the same exact thing with instant recruits. And guess what, when I tested the BlueCyrus mod, it does NOT instantly build spy, diplomat and assassin. Why does that sound so familiar? Gee, I wonder.
You explained how you made the mod… But anyone can download jord’s mod and compare it to the original file to see what was changed. Obviously, in order to tell other people how you made the file when really someone else did.
The file name for getting instant recruits is “export_descr_unit” which is no real indication of it being the file which needs to be changed. So it would obviously take some time searching to figure out where instant recruits can be made from. It would be faster for someone to download jord’s already changed “export_descr_unit” because the work is already done. Why search for what file can do it, when someone already did it? Why go thru all that effort of trying to find the file than doing trial and error tests to see if what you changed works, for something which already exists on another site? It makes no sense. It’s just faster searching RTW mods, downloading jord’s 1 turn recruits and pawning it off as your own on a different site.
My conclusion is that this file from BlueCyrus was stolen from someone else. It just reeks of fishiness and plagiarism.
