How do I install the game on a vista system. When I try to it tells me it can't install since it doesn't detect Directx 9.0.C on my system.
Thanks in advance,

Go to my computer, than click on explore. Copy all the files on the disk to a random EMPTY map of your choice. Go into the fresh map, open autorun map and get into the autorun.CFG file.
Look for this line:
change it into
Run the autorun.exe and it wont ask for directx.

Main things I have found when it comes to games from the "XP and before era", are Running, and Installing error or problems when in Windows Vista.
1) Right click the main .EXE (Executable) file, and then go to properties, then click the Compatibility tab. Then make sure "Run This Program as an Administrator", check box is marked.
2) While also in the Compatibility tab area, make sure the box is check marked for "Run this program in Compatibility mode for", and choose "Windows XP Service Pack 2".
These two things will help install games I have had problems with.
Thanks, and hope this helped.

For those having problems with godfather on a vista or windows 7 OS, and couldent get the movies to work and they simply showed a black screen and your game kept crashing, simply rename your movies folder in the directory to "_movies" (without the quotes).
