As i stated in my post, i have it preordered, i just don't believe in the different release dates, it really makes me feel like the EU is being treated like Second Class Customers.

So, any of you US dudes that have the retail game suffer from 'unable to save at this time' and the 'galaxy not working' problems? (as in, is it working properly without the cracks?) if it works fine, then i will look forward to the game.

its been like that ever since the industry first came out. when a game comes out and the company is based in the country like the US and Japan it will come out first in their respective countries. then when or if its successful there then they will reach out to other markets. its a way for them to test the market first.

For instance, here in France, we had Silverfall (and Loki I think) months before the rest of the world.
Many of us still think the french customers really served as paying beta-testers, as the game became enjoyable with the 1.16/1.17 patches, released in the same time that the worldwide distribution.
It happens very often in germany, etc. too and for many games.


In the case of Mass Effect and many other games, the ones you could flame (if you really want to flame someone) are the distributors. But the situation isn't simple, even for them.

To make it very quick, they have contracts and deadlines to fulfill too.
The local distributor packages and deploys his copies, then the worldwide distributors have deadlines for localizing the packaging and deploying the product to the selling points.


Anyway, our waiting will soon be over, and I have the feeling it will be worth it.

Accually, when a game is done in the EU, it comes out in the US at the same time as the country of development.

For example, Age of Conan was developed in the EU and it was released in the US 3 days before the EU, though 3 days isn't all that bad, but 7 days is not accept and in my opinion, especially if its a port, should be released Worldwide at the same time.

Anyway, no one answered my question.

Does the legit version (uncracked) work fine when it comes to saving and the galaxy map.
