My system got a Internet Explorer type virus. Symptoms are pop-ups that don't stop and task manager being disabled. The last time I read about this happening was do to an infected ad server, such as the ones used here at cheat happens, exploting a weakness in Sun's JRE.

I have a backup of my OS partition, and I'm currently restoring it. Otherwise, I'd be having a great deal of trouble trying to remove this type of virus.

Please check out your ad servers.

Why do you assume that our ad servers are to blame? Is CH the only site you ever visit? We use industry standard ad servers that are used by thousands and thousands of websites alike. I'll certainly look into it, however, we get 80,000+ visitors per day and serve up millions of ads. If our site was causing an issue I'm quite sure there would be many others complaining about it as well.

I can't be 100% positive it was from here, but the ad pop-ups, which included one in blue from some hospital, if I remember correctly, immediately started happening when I linked to this web site. The last time I ran into this, the weakness was in Sun's Java JRE, not Internet Exploerer, and was due to an infected ad-server.

I'm not sure what version of Sun Java JRE I had, since I restored my previous backup, which doesn't have any Java installed, but it must have been an older, exploitable one.

If it is an ad-server, it's also the infection is only associated with just one ad, and requires the viewer to have a specific version of Sun Java JRE installed in order to get infected.

Cheathappens is very clean, most likely it was another site you got problems from.

I visited two web sites. Google to search for "Toca Race Driver 3 save file editor", then to this site after finding a match. My guess it was one of the ads (pointroll, google, yieldmanager, ...) that caused problem. Again this is rare, since the ad popup virus exploits a weakness in Java.

Doing a web search for "popup trojan pointroll", I've already found numerous hits. Pointroll is one of the ad-servers here.

Again, I feel like you jumped the gun by outright blaming our website for whatever has happened to your computer. Our ad servers are managed and hosted by Crave Online which serves up over 50+ million ads per month. We also use Google as our default backup ad server. If there was indeed a problem, I feel quite sure it would be taken care of promptly.

You're welcome to contact craveonline.com and discuss their ad servers with them since they handle 100% of our ad serving and inventory.

Sorry friend but you must be mistaken. There aren't any viruses on this website I personally have been coming here for a year or so and I haven't gotten any viruses. The only possible virus you could get is a so called Virium Addictus or to put it simply you could get addicted to CHU.

That's funny! I am already finding myself addicted to this site on my down time. It's like trying to eat only 1 potato chip.
