is the "news" message on the game setup page a warning for these mods or just a threat from thq? The message if you have not read it states that using mods is in violation of the user licence agreement. This may result in loss of use.

Deep breaths... only modifications (not like the fun/harmless gameplay mods) of an exploiting nature for online purposes are what they are not happy with. The message of course is annoyingly vague and some have of course taken it to mean that modding is now being targeted which couldn't be further from the truth.

Basically, the situation is that some people are of course behaving poorly and doing things like using the donkey cheat (eselschreck), and since it is actually pretty easy to modify into the game, it is of course an easy target for cheaters to pick.
