Half-Life 2: Episode One Message Board  

I found a couple of console commands that allow you to change the flashlight's distance and angle. They are r_flashlightfar for distance and r_flashlightfov to change the angle of the beam. Simply enter them with a number greater than their default (or smaller than their default if you want to make things more challenging), like so:

r_flashlightfar 2000
r_flashlightfov 65

The defaults are as follows:

r_flashlightfar 750
r_flashlightfov 45

Nice! it worked fine for me
