well.... u see.. i read all the other topics...
but it did not solve my problem...
i currently play as sicily, and i tried to create a unit.. here is what i wrote

create_unit Palermo Dismounted Broken Lances 9 5 3 3

it says it does not recoqnise the unit type...

plz plz plz help me!

Put " " Around Dismounted Broken Lances
=]

you may have to put them around palerno as well

turned out to be ok with just around the unit name... but thx anyways
