    I like haikus.

I do too, but can someone please remind me how to do?

Isn't it 5 syllables, then seven syllables, then 5 again?

    Five Syllables and
    Then Seven in the second
    and five in the third

And as for neo's post, its a ballad in song terms, but not one in poetic terms (as far as I know at least)

I actually do believe that ballads are classified as "poetry" these days.

If that has nothing to do with your post...Well I just misinterpreted it then.

i wrote this poem like two years ago for my girlfriend

For All the Rest of Time

    I look into your eyes
and i see the shining light
I notice the happiness that you have within,
the joy of me being your one and only boyfriend.

You lay your head on my shoulder
and i tell you "I wish we could stay in this moment forever"
Just you and me, always together.

I never want to leave from by your side,
I just want you to be eternally mine.
...In each others arms, for all the rest of time...

That was touching. Really, it was.
