first i would like to say i love this website and all the great trainers that are produced here....

to my problem.....i downloaded and installed the new SP1 patch from Microsoft for Window Vista 32bit and now the trainer for version 1.35.44.4020 DX9 does not work anymore...

by "not work" i mean the game loads.... i activate the trainer....but when i get in to the game and press say the numpad key 6 for palladium....the palladium goes up a couple thousand and stops...then when i buy something for say 500 palladium it subtracts way more than that from my inventory...i tried adding more palladium and it does nothing.

this also occurs when trying to add experience...i'll add enough to say go to level 25.....but when i kill something it only advances me to level 8 and reduces my experience...i try adding more xp and it won't.

i never had this problem before i installed the SP1 patch.....i uninstalled the patch and turned off autoupdate for Vista....and the trainer works again fine.

i did notice when i had the patch installed...that it notices all 4 gigs of memory in my system.....i think the SP1 patch is doing something different with it's handling of memory, which in turn is causing problems with the trainer.

just thought i would let everyone know....not sure if others are having the same issue or not.

same thing happens here. it ads some but it doesn't really add it :P The game just deducts from what ever was there before you buy something. Weird stuff

I'm having the same problem, won't let me increase my skill or atribute points. Anything that can be done?

this is most unusual. i will look at this when i get some time, but this game has been a total headache since it's beginning. in my mind at this point, i have no clue why patching the OS would have any bearing on a PC game. why would vista SP1 have anything to do with the trainer's functions i have no idea.

one thing to try would be to turn off the DEP completely and see if that works. probably won't but it is something that i probably would have tried.

at any rate, we can look into it in a bit. however, this just doesn't make any sense at all!

    best,
    Cal

Much apreciated Caliber. After downloading the service pack it made the game run faster, thought it was a godsend.

DEP stands for Data Execution Prevention. It's a security measure that prevents malicious code from taking over your computer. It does this by setting specific Memory addresses in your RAM under very strict control. When it detects an illegal instruction other than what Windows normally does, it closes the process without question.

To disable it (WARNING: NOT RECOMMENDED IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AV PROTECTION AND A FIREWALL!):
    1. Open a command prompt as an administrator (Right Click > Run as admin).
    2. Type "bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff" (without "" )
    3. Restart your computer

    To re-enable it:
    1. Open a command prompt as an administrator
    2. Type "bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx OptIn" (without "" )
    3. Restart your computer.
