i want to find out wat the sparkle things are in some of the rooms, and find the scanner the scientist was talking about. but idk how to use the itemfinder. can somebody help plz

The sparkling tiles in the rooms are keys to other rooms.
And let me pull out my Game Boy to find the Scanner. Should take me a few minutes.

kk ,ty. but i use the item finder and press A like my cuz said and nothing happens

When you walk in the room, just watch for the tile to shine and press a when you get to it. No Itemfinder needed.

I found the Scanner.

You need to have a Pokemon that knows the HM move Dive.
When you enter the Abandoned Ship, there are steps to go down on the top right corner of the floor.
Go down those, and there will be a hallway with a Sailor and a Tuber. Below the Sailor are three doors. Go into the middle one and use Dive.

Once underwater, follow the hall left, and there is a hole at the top. Go through it.
Press B and you will float to the room that DarthWright is in.
Go through the door to your far right at the bottom, and the Room One Key is at the right hand corner of the room. There is also a Water Stone in that room.
Next go to Room One, which is at the far left, where you surfaced from underwater. The key to room four is right above the hole in the floor at the left side of the room. TM. 18 (Rain Dance) is also in this room.
Now head up to Room four. It is the room right across from Room one. Room six's key is in the Trash Can.
Go to room five, which is in between room six and four. There are Trash Cans in your way.
Go to room six, which is across from room three. There is a Luxury Ball there. Go into room five via room six. There is an opening in the wall. Here is where room two's key is:
There is a large table and a chair at the bottom left side of it. Go to the tile right below that chair and move once space to the right. Press A while facing the opening from room six.

Now that you have room two's key, head over to it. The Scanner is there, in a Pokeball.

Go back to the Scientist and he will tell you to give it to Captain Stern. Fly to Slateport City and give it to Stern. He is at the Harbor. He will trade you the Scanner for either a Deepseatooth or a Deepseascale, which you use to evolve Clamperl.
