Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance Message Board  

I've made sure that I have the right version of the game and trainer.

I load up the trainer first, then start the game.
At the main menu I hit F1 as the instructions say... but I DO NOT hear "Activated".
All that happens is that the hotkey list shows up.

How can I make the trainer work?
Do I have to change the hotkey that activates it? Or somehow change F1 so it doesn't pop up the list?

Yeh, you probably need to re-map whatever F1 is using. Also try using the no-cd fix that matches your version and make sure you've disabled all antivirus/antispyware. Your problem can also occur if something is blocking the trainer from attaching to the game.

How do you remap the F1 key though?

Ok I Have the same problem as you sometimes this may or may not work but keep on pressing F1 until you hear the Activated and make sure volume is up and this is at the main menu. Here is another option go ahead and start game I mean a mission then pause game and again do the same as i have said before.Lastly are you using a cheathappens maid trainer.HOPE THIS HELPS

Hmmm the default key to open the keyhelp in SupCom is F1. I didn't change this button, so whenever I press F1 to activate the trainer the keyhelp pops up, BUT i also hear the words "ACTIVATED", and my trainer works fine after that, so it's probably some other problem. =/

So I was having the same problem (Windows 7 64bit). After running in compatibility mode as Windows XP SP3, I only had to spam the CRAP out of the F1 key from the main menu till it finally said "Activated!". Thanks for the tip
