i really like the skyline in it's stock form...probably because i'm kind of fond on the original visual appearance of a car...i don't like to put custom body kits or custom paint or custom rims

i heard a few times about people saying that the r34's spoiler is ugly because it's short or the distance between the legs is too big or just the shape of the spoiler itself is just ugly

Well, the people that complain that a car needs a body kit usually don't know a thing about cars. They just want to make a Need for Speed monstrosity and show it off. Even though everyone around them knows they're an idiot.

Like around here, people buy hoods with fake air scoops and plastic spoilers. Then they drive around and act cool but they look like idiots and no one thinks they're cool. As far as I'm concerned modifying a car isn't just slapping parts on it. You have to spend time researching the best manufacturers and then be willing to spend good money. The only way to go as far as spoilers is carbon fibre or aluminum. And fake air scoops are the dumbest thing there is, either get a real one and mod your engine to take advantage of the extra air flow or don't get one at all.

Personally I prefer a stock Skyline. Whenever I buy one in a game, the only thing I change is the rims. Nothing flashy, just some nice gunmetal gray six spokes. I don't mind body kits but I hate how they always replace the distinctive elements of the stock car. I like the subtle things about the Skyline's bumpers, most body kits just totally destroy those things. And as far as the spoiler goes, I love it.

Agree with you somewhat. If you're going to add spoilers and scoops and the such like, they need to be of functional value. ie spoilers for increased downforce, scoops for increased air intake etc. Putting theses items on simply for aesthetic looks, just doesn't cut it with me. Most top of the line body kits help with air flow around the car, reducing the co-efficient drag, increasing accleration, downforce etc. Fitting these items does change the look of a cars appearance, sometimes for the better, sometimes not.

still being at the skyline part...which one of the versions of skylines do you guys say it's better? the r32 or the r33 cos these are the cheapest skylines i can afford

when i mean better i mean if it's reliable car that can last long enough for a sports car or other info about the car...all i know is that they sold over 100k of all the r32 versions...and being more mechanical than electronical like these new cars it's even easier to tune than the r34...so what do you guys say?

Just heard that GM are going to stop production of the Hummer, in an effort to focus on more eco-friendly vehicles. While I think its great to see a large company concerned about the enviroment, wouldn't it be better, to look at making the current line-up more eco-friendly.
Thoughts anyone?

The civilian version of the HMMWV is utterly ridiculous. They look silly and aren't terribly useful.

In general, more eco-friendly also means more wallet-friendly at the gas pump, and that will attract lots of people.

It is probably more cost effective to discontinue current models in favor of new ones than re-configure current models. What I mean is, in designing a car you layout the components in a certain way--and to go in and change the components may require trying to put a square peg in a triangular hole. It would be more effective to start over from scratch so all the new components are properly laid out.

But I don't think it'll help GM. American car companies will never recover to where they once were and GM committed itself to retiree benefits so extravagant that it'll end up killing the company.
