2) Obviously that whole bit goes into contemplating the purchase of a new car in the first place. You're not exactly going to sign the paperwork without knowing the consequences, bills, insurance and the subsequent future expenses following all this, are you?
2)Well, anyone with half a brain would think about those things. And if you don't think about those things then I seriously pity your stupidity.
Buying a car is never a cake-walk. There are so many complexities that it becomes a serious affair. It's easy to get caught up with these complexities without giving thought to long term expenses (insurance, petrol etc), but like you said you only need half a brain to keep that in mind. And I'm pretty sure everyone has at lease half a brain functioning when it comes down to affairs like these.
Italian man builds his own supercar
A new supercar has emerged out of Northern Italy that was singlehandedly built by a car enthusiast by the name of Filandri Moreno. Dubbed the Uragano (Italian for Hurricane), the car has taken up every spare hour of the 47-year-old’s time for the past four years. The entire car is fabricated from hand, and not just the panels and body but even the brakes, suspension and steering system were all built personally by Moreno. Link
Beijing bans car painting and repairs ahead of Olympics
Already athletes around the world with gold medal hopes are wondering if their stay in Beijing will permanently damage their respiratory systems. The intensely polluted Chinese city is aware of the concerns about its air quality, and is taking every step it can to reduce the problem before the Olympic Games kick off in August, including calling a halt to car repairs and spray painting. Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series develops 670HP, sheds 570 pounds
Mercedes-Benz and its in-house tuner AMG recently revealed its updated SL fleet but there’s one important model that we still are yet to see. The car is the upcoming SL Black Series from AMG, a super-sports version of the SL that could potentially upset the SLR flagship in the performance stakes. Numerous prototypes have been spotted testing in Germany, each of them sporting new bumpers, widened fenders and a GT wing, and now we the first solid details on the car’s final specifications. Link
If they're that concerned about their health, they should hold the Olympics in a forest for all we care. Sure, banning repairs is fine, it may help, but wouldn't the immediate halting of SALES of cars be a more viable solution?
Interesting, but ugly as hell. And the problem with the past version of the super-sized SL was that nothing, not even the always-on super-advanced traction control system could keep it in check. An engine that size generates so much torque that it can't be controlled in such a slim frame. And to think, they've upped the ante AND put it on Atkins? That's one very ugly, and very expensive death warrant on four wheels for you right there.
The car pictured there isn't a actual Black Series, that's the SL65/SL63 AMG. The Black Series will have a body kit, spoilers, and probably a bunch more body mods.
I was thinking more...Venturi... than anything else.
