Uh-huh...

Anyways, I just love that aero-kit on that R35. It echoes the Tokyo Drift style of cars, and the red/black scheme is uber-cool. Can I has it?

Link FTW?

And yes, the Monaro is way more square-fronted than a GTR. The basic silhouette is a different story, I find it mimics the GTR quite well.

Cant find a link, so im gonna HAVE to type an explanation to you.

*sigh*

Well basically, John Bradshaw was a business guy who needed a new company car, and he descided to get himself a skyline, he test drove both the GT-R and the GTS but he found that he prefered the GTS. So he bought himself a completely standard GTS. But by the end of his first year of owning it the standard engine output had been boosted from 280bhp to 385bhp. A while later, while at a car show, he decided to give his car ago on the drag strip. But it had one problem with keeping up with a certain GTR, which had about 520bhp. He then descided that he wanted more from his car. So, after a long discussion with the guy at GT ART he descided he wanted just over 500bhp from it. To cut a long story short, he gotinto a big prject with more and more big copany's getting involved like LEDA and JUN. The target then changed from trying to get 500bhp fromth car to getting the most amount possible. So, heres the spec list of the finished car:

ENGINE : RB25 (650cc), 24 valve, GT ART oil catch tank, GT ART water pump, Mocal diff and fuel cooler, GRedddy oil cooler, thermostatic housing, HKS intercooler, race spec rad, JUN SUPER piston kit, JUN SUPER con rod kit, JUN cam shafts, JUN oil pump, JUN main stud kit, GT ART special oil sump, HKS head gasket kit, engine rebored, honed and balanced, Drag Flow cylinder head, two knock sensors and EVC 5 boost controller, GReddy plenum and throttle body, Wizards Of Nos 200+bhp special direct port system, HKS F con V pro management system, HKS T51 Splb turbo, HKS trbo manifold, HKS wastegate, HKS 1200cc injectors, HKS fuel Rail, GTR injector resister pack, injector wiring, Goodridge hose conection kit, twin fuel pump kit, 2 ATL fuel tanks, 2 AL fuel tank sender units, Nismo engine mounts.

TRANSMISSION : ATS CARBON TRIPLE PLATE CLUTCH, ATS Metal LSD, full Xtrac gearbox kit, Nismo gearbox mount

SUSPENSION : LEDA/GT ART drag special custom made suspension, GT ART rollcage, rear drag crossmember (solid), Cusco rear drad adjusters, Cusco front drag adjusters, four nylon diff bushes, front strt brace

BRAKES : Brembo GTR 34 peice brake kit

WHEELS & TYRES : Front - Team Dynamics Motorsport multi-spokes, Federal super steel S95 215/45 x 17 tyres. Rear - 15 x 8 drag wheels, Mickey Thompson tyres

INTERIOR : Prepeg carbon-fibre dash, digital dash and data logger, Race-Logic launch/traction control, Momo steering wheel, alloy handbrake and gearknob, carbon fibre front seats, rear seets removed, Sabelt harness, fire extinguisher, additional dials/gages/switches, HKS A/F knock amp, HKS EVC, other than that, interior is fully stripped out

EXTERIOR : Prepreg carbon-fibre doors, prepreg carbon-fibre custom made front splitter and rear diffuser (custom designed by F1 specialists), Prepreg carbon fribre rear spoiler, carbon-fibre bonnet and bootlid Perspex front windows, rear windows replaces with carbon-fibre, exra sponsor graphics

Now baring in mind that this was drivenby a business man, not a racig driver, on only his 3rd time on a drag strip the car beast the record for the fastest quarter-mile time set by a Nissan Skyline GTS with the original RB25 block in, with a time of 9.93 seconds. And all that was done with 1.7 bar of boost, some 300bhp down on the maximum the turbo can produce - 3.0 bar of boost, and without the nitrous, so in total, 500bhp down on the potential for this engine, and its still not finished!
Now although their was a time set of 9.4 seconds in a GTS with an RB30 block fitted in Australia, considering the circumstances that sounds completely reachable in the future, dont you agree?

Right after I get mine. It's only $80,000 before markups so I can easily afford it within 3-4 years after I graduate.

@racing_nut-I understood roughly 2.37% of that.

I'm still trying to talk my mom into selling our house so I can have a Z06. She wasn't to thrilled about my idea.
