yes it is true and is a basic way of slaying any wyvern, this is the table of artributes:
    fire is weak aginst water
    ice is weak aginst fire
rock or earth wyverns r weak against water
and wyverns in general r weak against a dragon element.
I don't know if I missed any elements
If winning don't matter then why do they keep the scores

    >_>

You guys have been playing too much Pokemon....

    Elemental Attributes
Each monster is strong and weak with a certain element, eg: Rathalos is weak against Dragon Element, but it's strong against Fire Elemental, meaning, if you use Dragon on a Rathalos, you'll deal more damage than if you used Fire elemental

    Status Attributes:
I don't know when a monster is strong or weak against a Status Attribute (such as Poison) but these have nothing to do with Element Attribute, you just know when to use a Status Attribute along your monster hunting career, for example, using Sleep Attribute against a Kirin, is better than using Poison on it, and using Poison on a Kushala Daora, is better than using Sleep with it.

    MHF2:
    Armor:Full Rathalos Soul U (400, BladeMaster)Full Death Stench S w/B.Piercing(212,Gunner)
Best Weapons: Azure Ogre Sword, Onslaught Hammer, Lacerator Blade, Akantor Bow

What?!Fatalis webbing?! I'm one person and I can only Sword it it, so bye-bye Full Dragonskin...

the best way to see a monsters weaknesses is to look at its armour and check wot its weakness is
" where the hell is it?"
those are the last words of many who fall victim to chameleos
