The physics engine isn't a Rockstar creation and WILL be seen in other games (the new Indiana Jones game from Lucasarts comes to mind)

I still think, even with all the other games coming out this year, it'll be a serious GOTY contender.

I don't own any consoles, so I'll be waiting for the PC version...

i'm gonna get it for the 360 when the price comes down!
because thats the only new console i've got that'll run GTA4..

I'm not sure that it'll be the GOTY, because you have to think about Gears of War 2 and Fallout 3 and Mercs 2.

But it will be a great game.

What i want them to do the most is put in intresting, fun, and challenging side missions that are meaningful and give you special upgrades. i think that they should get rid of eating, working out and junk like that. it was a waste of time in San Andreas. hopefully this game centers around what was so good in GTA 3, which was the mafia and organized crime. it looks like it will, so all for the better.

you guys are saying almost the same things as you said about pro street...that it will be the coolest, will have a lot of cars, will be very interesting etc., and in the end you all were heartbroken because of the game's theme, features etc.

so i recommend to ease off a bit 'till it'll come out and then say it's great, awesome etc.

i do want to see the game myself but i'm not that excited about the game...my general plan of playing a game is if it's good, i'll play it, if it's not, then i'll keep it for other uses

I'm actually a bit worried about the processing requirements. I plan on playing in my basement where it's nice and cool. I already have an intercooler so it should be able to handle the heat. I might have to elevate my 360 so the carpet doesn't impede air flow, guess I'll just have to wait and see.

dude, have you read ANYTHING about intercoolers ever? if you REALLY want your xbox to die, then use your intercooler, my friend works at gamestop and he said that some-odd 60% of all busted xboxs that get brought in, were totally screwed up by the intercooler, those things can literally melt your xbox, just google "intercooler melts xbox 360" they are really harsh, i highly advise not using it.

    just a heads up bro.

i play my xbox in my basement where its super hot all the time and i have never used an intercooler and my xbox is almost 2 years old (still works just as good as the day i got it.)

Actually I have read about intercooler, which is why I know that not all of them damage your XBOX. Maybe you should have done some more reading.

The intercoolers that damage your XBOX are the ones that take power from it. They plug into the back of the 360 and the power cord into them. That means the 360 doesn't get enough juice and it breaks. The intercoolers with their own independent power supply plug into the wall outlet with their own cord. They don't attach to the 360 in any way, you just place them under the XBOX. Those don't take power away from the 360 and there is no way to damage it. That's the kind I bought, because I did some reading and found that they are completely safe.

I'm actually on my 3rd 360. My original broke because of heat, the one they sent me never connected to my controller, and then they finally got me a fully functional one. Then I bought an intercooler so I never have to go through that ordeal again.

Anyways, back on topic. The whole ordeal with it breaking down is why I'm worried about the obviously huge processing power that GTA IV will require. I'm no expert when it comes to electronics but judging by all the videos and reviews I've read, it will definitely push the 360 to it's limits.
