does anybody have any information on this, if so post it here because it is supposed to erupt soon, last time it erupted the kill zone is said to have been over 600 miles in diameter, Mt. saint helens was said to be equal to 100,000 nuclear bombs going off at once. Well guess what. This is supposed to be 10,000 times more then that.

quick note the kill zone means the people who are killed instantly this is not to say that many more people would not die.

Heard of this stuff in science class a few months back. The affected radius should spread across a lot of the United States (the dust and black smoke, that is). It would make day look almost like night because of all of the black smoke in the air.

it sounds kinda impossible to prepare for such a blast though.

When it erupts it will cause a nuclear winter, the ash from the initial eruption will block out the sun and fill the atmosphere with nasty poisons.

So either:

You'll be one of the lucky ones in the kill-zone and you'll die instantly

or

You'll be a survivor choking on poisonous air and freezing in the tundra created by the volcano.

ok her is the deal on this,yellow stone is on top of a very big, Lava chamber, a very very big one, it covers about the wole park, Now when This valcano erupts, the Whole united states will be coverd in ash, and will kill allot of people, people in Russa, andEurope probly cause of the ash, Ill post more info later, lol I forgot allot bou this, i use to know allot bout this valcano but forgot it lol

I doubt it'll spread to all the world, probably about half of it. Predicting when the eruption could occur (month/day) could be a way to reduce casualties.

Hey he spelled Russia wrong . Anyway, if it is true it will be the Judgement day(maybe).

The Discovery Channel actually had some "movie" kinda thing about that eruption and how bad it would be. Basically all of the United States (and Canada) was uninhabitable for a pretty long time and the ash traveled over the Atlantic Ocean and started falling over Europe. I really hope it doesn't happen because me and everyone I know would pretty much have no chance of surviving it since Canada is so close to the park.
