It could be shoot the spikes that the Brute Spiker shoots and when you shoot someone it gets stuck in them and blows up like the Needles from a Needler except it only takes one shot. That would be awesome, well, except when the Brutes use it on you but still awesome.

This might make the game a bit too complicated but different types of ammo would be good for the UNSC Sniper Rifle. In the Halo books they always mention that there are two types of UNSC ammo; shredder and explosive rounds. Shredders go into their target and rip through it while the explosive ones puncture the surface and explode into tiny bits of shrapnel eating up the insides of the victim. I guess the ammo in the Halo games would be shredder rounds since that's basically what they do. But explosive rounds for certain weapons like the sniper would be awesome because the sniper doesn't do enough damage to armor wearing Brutes.

A warthog turret that you could hold and walk around with. It would come with 1,000 Mk211 (incindiary and armor piercing all in one bullet) rounds. That would be friggin sweet!!

Ya, that way even when it gets destroyed you can salvage the turret and put it to good use giving the Covenant their daily dose of lead.

Automatic beam rifle. Preferably with a bigger capacity charge. Just imagine how deadly that would be...
