Hello - My 7 year old daughter just started playing this with my help. I have been sucked into it with her however I dontk now how to play except what Im learning along the way. I have read some cheat etc. My main question is can you talk to other characters when your playing alone? She has no other friends who are playing with her right now so she basically just talks to the villagers. But when we type something out and hit send - it shows up on the screen but the other villagers dont respond. I tried doing a cheat code to get a sofa - where you ahve to talk to Tom Nook but it didnt give me that option. Any help or website you could point me to would be appreciated.

Ok...I'll try to help as best i can
You can't type-talk to the villagers, only visitors from another town, or residents from a town you're visiting. To get visitors, or visit another town, you need a wi-fi connection (either by multicard DS to DS play, using a wi-fi hotspot or using a USB connector and playing over the internet) Check out the instuction booklet or the nintendo website.

Thanks for the info. I tried to play online last night via Wifi but I couldnt find my WEP Key! LOL I am feeling very computer illiterate now!!

If she cant talk to the chareters is she tapping them or pressing a in front of them? because thats the way you can talk to them. tom nook can upgrade his store to nookingtins(4th and last) with your help. or like i got it i just left my DS for 7 week swhen I had nookway. I went on and I had nookingtons. it has another storie and a hair salon. if you need anymore help just PM

to play on wifi you need to have friend codes or it wont let you 😵

do you have anybodys friend codes? if not then you wont be able to play on wifi to enter them in go in your inventory click the heart sign and i one of the icons will let you enter a code. 💛

no I cant get the Wifi to connect to my wireless connection. It wants a passcode I cant find
