It might be because you have an "old" computer, or you might have installed too many add-ons. Some more information could be helpful.

I've played before without problems and when this started happening we bought a new card for the computer, it didn't help. I had given up but i started to play again and want it to stop.

during regular game play in a already made house, making a house, or event playing in a 1 person house. out of nowhere the mouse stays on the type it is but is still movable the screen freezes and It won't event do anyting when I ctrl alt delete. i have to turn off the computer from the power button in the tower.
