Alot of the pokemon you can catch in the Pearl/Diamond game that usually come from other regions, but alot of them you will need almost all of the other GBA games in the DS in order to catch them in the D/P game. If you don't want to purchase all those games, then I suggest try trading on the message boards at GameFAQ's trading boards to get the ones you need to fill your pokedex.

Well, all of them. Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, LeafGreen, Emerald to name the ones you will need to finish the pokedex. You don't have to play each one, just have them in your DS at the same time you play the D/P. Some you will have to migrate onto the DS game so you will have to play them. Easier to just trade on the message boards to get the ones you are missing.
Really? i need so much though haha. & plus to play that pal thing to beat the person that always is one step ahead of you i need to migrate 6 from jhonto or som eother place.. xx
u can't migrate from johto. most johto pokemon can be caught on fire red leaf green or emerald.by the way,most of the unused games cost $35
