    Hey can someone please tell me exactly step for step on how to edit the number of capital ships allowed.
    if u could include what the file is, what i change and where to find it.

    I found it. reasearchsubject_maxcapitalshipstech 0-7 are the 7 levels of cap ship maxes, and the value in there to change is:

    researchModifier
    modifierType "CapitalShipMaxSlots"
    baseValue 1.000000
    perLevelValue 1.000000

    to

    researchModifier
    modifierType "CapitalShipMaxSlots"
    baseValue 1.000000
    perLevelValue 3.000000

    Will change it to 3 ships for first level instead of only 1, and keeps going through all 7 files the same way.

    Faster is to just change baseValue to something like 60 on the level 0 file.

    You can also reduce the time to learn each level by reducing BaseUpgradeTime and PerLevelUpgradeTime.

    I found the file, but when i open it w/ word or word pad, it come open w/ some unicode stuff, how did you open it to read and edit it? Any special program? Thanks

    Notepad may work, if you haven't tried using it yet.

    Tried all of them, still nothing. I did downlaod the "modpack from stardock, and try to modding w/ their files, but the game seems to "dump" every time i build capital ships. It is very unstable when i mod using there "notepad" verson of the enity files.......
