Has anyone collected a "masters skull"? It is the skull of a master hunter supposedly, but I don't know what I'm supposed to do with it.

a masters skull can be found in any G-rank quest, u find them where you would find a mystery bone or a unknown skull they are used for some G-rank armour.

Near the nest in the forest & hills is a common place to find a master skull.

Thanks for the heads up! I've had this game for a month now and am JUST starting to figure some of this stuff out. I have read the mounds of FAQs and finally managed to kill a couple of the wyverns, but I'm still working through it. Just LOVE this game! Any recommendations on how I can get this monster bone+ that I need to upgrade my sword? I've just cleared the level 2 quests, so I'm definitely a junior at best here.

You can get monster bone+ from Treasure Hunting, and killing certain monsters. But its a rare item and not easy to get.
