Kirin is weak to dragon and dragon alone. Use sword and shield against , its a really effective way to clear through its tough hide. Any other weapon like G-sword , lance , ect. will bounce off. Hammers work but its really hard cuz they re meant for really skilled hunters that know how to evade monsters without getting spanked around all the time. With the hammer a good offence is a good defence as they would put it.

So pretty much go with s&s , it will serve a good cause. Use high raw attack power against it thats over 230 or 250 with alot of affinity. Over at least 20 %. Hope this helps

I Thought Kirin was weak to fire attribute as well. Not as much as dragon, but still weak to it.

Yeah , but how do we know that ? it says its neutral on fire, water, and ice. How do you know if its weak to it when it say 0 on fire. Its in the negatives on dragon so your best bet is that. Another good way to go is raw material. Perferrably S&S.

True, but I just have a little suspicion that it has a little bit of a hurt to fire.

Well i have my doubts on that Sure since its neutral its not going to have an edge or dissadvantage. So pretty much it will just hurt it normally. Since its -1 on dragon , you have your edge on it So im just saying it makes sense.

Kirin is strong with every element, the armour gives you +3 elemental resistance for a reason =P although it doesn't damage much, if you really have to, use Dragon Attribute, but a High Raw SnS would be better, I recommend Shining Wyvern Blade or Azure Ogre Sword, since they both deal lots of damage and have good sharpness, but, for HR 6 Dual Kirin, strangely, Hammer seems to be the weapon of choice for experienced hunters, or someone with Evade +2, a high raw damage can make a Kirin fall in 2 or 3 hits.

i use wolf blade [the upgraded garuga sns] with reckless abandon 1 so i get a huge affinity it takes me 15 minutes bt the kirin still dies
