just when i join a match late
might be because im having lag of where people left off???

me and some of my mates get that problem aswell, we figured out what was happening, if it happens for a few seconds then you get kicked from the match its because when one team is kickin the crap out of the other, one member of the losing team disconnects by either turnin off the router or unpluggin their ethernet cable, that causes the match to screw up and end without the losing team actually getting a loss counted. if its only for about a second and it resumes perfectly afterwards then u briefly lost signal

Go to your 360 dashboard and run an XBL connection test. See what your NAT is set on, you want it to be OPEN.

You could also try to reset your router/modem. I would recommend calling the tech support and getting the specific steps...because that's what I have to do whenever my connection is shoddy.

your simple answer is, your modem wont allow you to play with certain people or their modem. and when you are the host it will only filter those people that you can play with, but when you join a game your modem doesn't like some of the other people so it lags reall bad.

(btw you can change the settings on your modem, but i dont know how)

if ur downloading somethin, or if someone is on a computer while ur on cod4, it lags, if no one is on any computer, only u playin cod4, its ur internet, i use wireless, but my internets s**t, i use a paki or slovakian internet, and mines the same as urs, il be changin to bt broadband soon, if the same thing happens, il let u no, might help u a bit.
