the house is nt the only thing the kids grades have to be at a certain level as well for the "special carriculum" at the private school like if they have a D+ they may never get in until they improve but if they have a B or better their odds of acceptance are greater than those that dont. sometimes all these conditions like the house, his or her grades, schmoozing and such in different combinations can be a recipe for success or disaster. here is what i mean. If the child has bad grades it may take more schmoozing than normal to get them accepted but a nice well kept large house improves the chances even though his or her grades are somewhat in the toilet. on the other hand if he or she has very good grades but the house is less than lets say "perfect" for the sake of argument the chances will be relatively the same. a combination of both bad grades and poor home can dramatically decrease their chances of acceptance. but the combination of both good grades and a good clean home and good hospitality for the headmaster is always a good thing. I only know so much cause i have been playing the game for about 4 or 5 years now i think maybe less and i have had multiple families and houses and multiple generations of different families all of which was without the cheats. these games are very realistic and thats what i love about them. sorry this was so long but i just had to make a point that they are pretty much as realistic as any game can get apart from the random apprearance of certain individuals like the therapist and other suck characters. sorry i'll shut up now......

if you are not using cheats then you need to do the following before you invite the headmaster...

1.)Make sure that you have time before any of your adult Sims job schedules to invite the headmaster.

2.) Make sure the child has a recent report card grade of C or better. to do this complete all the childs homework until you get it.

3.) Check and clean all areas of the house that might need to be cleaned such as the toilet, shower, kitchen, beds made, bowls and plates cleaned up, old newspapers are picked or thrown away. ust make sure the house is neat and clean.

4.) Make the meal you intend to serve the headmaster immediately before you call him(ordering pizza, Mac and cheese, lunchmeat sandwiches or other less than exotic meals aren't really a good idea). He will arrive shortly after you make the call. If your Sim messes up the meal you will need to make another one before you call the headmaster.

5.) Make sure your Charisma is high enough also before youy invite him so you get a lot of schmooze points. Set up a game that everyone in the house can play.

6.) After you have made the call to invite him make sure you have a Sim ready to greet him at the door(it's probably be best if the perspective child to be accepted does this).

7.) Use all the Sims in the house(not toddlers or babies of course) to attend to the headmaster at different times during the visit so he doesn't get bored and leave the house.

8.) When he arrives at the door greet him, have an adult talk with him for a bit, have the child/adult invite him to eat the meal. When he is finished make sure you clean up the plates/bowls from the meal because he doesn't want to see a pair of lazy parents.

9.) The "Bingo" type game where the green triangles pop is a good group game to try.

10.) Turning on the radio and asking him to dance is a good idea as well.

11.) Having a big/very nice house with lots of expensive items such as statues, art and paintings will help as well.

I used this process to get almost all the children in all three neighborhoods of my game into private school. In my experience of using it there is about a 85-90% chance of success as long as you don't have too many gaps between activities. If you try it and it doesn't work then you might be doing something wrong. I also believe there is a set time limit for his visit as it is with the baby/child/teen birthday and adult wedding parties so you need to use all the Sims in the house to keep the headmaster entertained so he doesn't get bored and suddenly leave.
