the best are prob out the RX8 RX7 350Z or Supra The drift kings RX7 is perfect tuning

If u wnt to take a practice, use the 240sx that you got it for free by using UNLOCKALLTHINGS code. tune it to the max, but use level 3 for the turbo / forced induction tuning. get all your suspension setting to 3/4 or three to five points to the right (stiff), front tire pressure stay on the middle, rear tire slide it three to four points to the right. set your cam setting (on engine tuning page) to retard (left about two or three points), set the turbo boost two to three points to the right. while the final gear ratio set it on close ratio and use your feelings to set each gear ratio. u'll get used to it.
while some car that i recommend are, nissan 240sx, nissan silvia (S15), Chevy Chevelle SS, RX-7 (the drift king version - it's HOT).
HOW TO GET THE RX-7 DRIFT KING VERSION EASILY? use the UNLOCKALLTHINGS, tune the 240sx or Chevy Chevelle same as the above settings, go to race map and go straight to challenge the drift king (definitely need some practice) beat him and get his car into your hand.
i beat the drift king using Chevy Chevelle SS and 240sx. i beat him twice, first i beat him using 240sx then i forgot to save it so i try another shot with the Chevelle and....it works!!!!
