Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts Message Board  

is there anyway in making this mod playable over LAN ive talked about it before and it sounds like i keep naging but if there is anyway that would be great. and if the british sounds work cause for some reason they dont im really sorry to be a pain

Basic instructions are in the file, keep in mind that if you are using 2.3, the developer (Relic) botched up a little bit with the 2.3 patch so that the necessary command -dev no longer works without a fix courtesy of Corsis (the fix can be found at www.corsix.org/misc/COH2300dev.rar)



As for making it work on a LAN, so long as you and your fellow player both had the mod installed and started up with the mod theoretically should be able to sync up nicely.

hello bud dont suppose u could give me the link to the new king tiger download.

thanks for that mate but i did try it when the mod first came out both store copys had the same version but for some reason i could find the game but it was faded and therefore unable to select to be able to play a game. i will give it another go i might be doing summit wrong.

Here's the latest version, with basically unlimited King Tigers for the Panzer Elite, Priests for the British Commonwealth, and a little something extra for them as well

As for which version you have, any one you got from the store should be perfectly capable of working so long as you make the shortcut work (and if you have version 2.3 use Corsix's fix).

Quoting/paraphrasing from Otellino's original instructions:

"Place the SpecialTanksAddon file and the SpecialTanksAddon.module in the your company of heroes main directory eg: C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes

Make a new shortcut of your company of heroes, go to properties, and in the "target" box, at the very end, place this:

-modname SpecialTanksAddon -dev

IMPORTANT: make shure there is a space between the end and the -modname. eg:

"C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCOH.exe" -modname SpecialTanksAddon -dev

Please note the speach marks ARE included."

wtf doesnt work for me i get nothing where i put line in new icon that the enable -dev file does or normal one because i dont get any other tanks just normal game !?

Again, if you are using the latest patch, 2.3, then the -dev command is disabled without using the fix courtesy of Corsix:

I still use the previous 2.202 version to completely circumvent any of Relic's nonsense, either way it has nothing to do with the mod itself, but rather how the game accepts (or doesn't accept) line parameter commands in the shortcut to direct it how to function.
