Is it? I see bad ratings for a NFS game. And bad reviews, it it look really good
I recommend it, but only if you're a true, hardcore NFS fan. The game is very entertaining, and it will keep you going for days, even months. The graphics are on par with that of Gran Turismo, and the gameplay really has been revved up significantly.
The reason why many gaming magazines have marked ProStreet down is because it strays from the original concept of Need For Speed and takes on a more Forza-like attitude of realism. Need For Speed's all about doing crazy things in the game that you wouldn't do in real life, whereas ProStreet has taken on the emphasis of legal street racing, where you do stuff that you actually can do in real life. On that basis, ProStreet sucks.
But what the critics have missed (or the majority of them anyways) is that it's about the gaming experience. On that basis, ProStreet owns the world. Big time.
