    LOL no!

    You didn't tell us which graphics card you're using.
    Get 1 more gb of ram so you'll have 2 which is more than enough for any game out there. I'd also recommend upgrading your cpu to an intel core2duo..which one? depends on your pocket

    Graphics card: NVidia GeForce FX 5200 (with the latest driver)

    Yeah, that's the problem. I have a similar problem, but it's is due to my card (ATI Radeon 9550).

    Dude,you can spend and trade for parts or wise up and realize,your problem may be as simple as a clogged pc. Too many files clogs and slows your pc.

    superweapons,

    I dunno about places, by I can recommend some stats.

    Try and get a computer with the following:
    Intel Centrino Dual Core CPU
    nVidia 8 series and above GPU. Try and get an SLi-enabled GPU (which is basically two GPUs stuck together, for better and more consistent performance)
    1-2 GB DDR2 memory (RAM)
    Vista Home Premium/Ultimate

    Alienware specialize in gaming desktops and notebooks. I highly recommend them.

    Let me tell ya something chingy, i don't have that much money, and alienware sells their crappiest pc for about 2000~3000 bucks.

    The RAM part is true... i need to upgrade that part

    Vista....It says on the box that you need to have a 3.0ghz processor to run nfsps under vista...besides, vista is still buggy (but not for long tho)

    nVidia 8 is the newest graphics card or sumthin?

    intel centrino is how many ghz?

    thnx chingy

    True, their Desktop computers are on the pricey side. If money's your issue, then try the HP Blackbird 002. It's built for gaming from the ground up, but I'm not sure of the price. Visit www.hp.com for more info.

    Vista is no longer buggy. That's the stereotypical impression. Microsoft have been very good recently with Vista, producing a constant stream of updates and patches for Vista. It now works smoother than XP.

    All new Vista Desktops have an Intel Centrino Dual Core CPU. Custom computers have Quad-Core. Each processor is good for around (on average) 2.5GHz, so you'll be getting 5Ghz in the Dual-Core computers, and 10GHz for those customs.

    nVidia 8 series is, yes, the newest batch of graphics cards on the market, and they are the backbone of PC graphics - without them PC would be going down in the graphics department. Big time. Here's a full list: Link

    You can build a monster for little or nothing.

    cpu= athlon64 X2 4200 $125
    motherboard= $69
    case with power supply included= $40
    ram 2gb preferable corsair or buffalo= $200
    graphics cards= geforce 7800 $150

    All the specs are in range to run the dog crap out need for speed, and you don`t have to spend a lot of money to do so. Just know what you are getting and don`t get jipped.
