How do you begin flying school. I've been to the abandoned airfield many times but I still can't start flight school or even buy the house over there.

well are u able to be on isiland with out being attacked by cops, and i am not talking about using the cheats....
if so, go into the control tower
if u still cant then, u havent gotten far enough on the isiland to be able to do it

Once you get to the missions involving the "CIA" agent learning to fly will be one of your first missions at the abandoned airfield. You have to complete the mission where you save him from the trunk of the car first.
Hint: instead of following the cell phone messages, just go to San Fierro Airport, and go to the end of the runway...once you get close enough a homing beacon takes over to guide you to the kidnappers van. Try to shoot out the tires of the van from long distance and DON'T blow it up, or you'll kill the guy you are trying to save.
