    Would you recommend it?
My computer isn't the best and though I enjoy RTS games, they tend to dislike my computer even though in many cases it should be more than capable to run them...
    How's the gameplay?

    Yes I recommend.

This is a RTT game more than an RTS
The difference is lack of base building and resource gathering, instead you receive points to drop your units.
Every time one of your units are destroyed the cost of the unit goes back to you to use it again.
    I own a AMD 64 3500+ with 1GB RAM and a GForce 7300GT and works greats @ 1024x768 with medium settings
(you can customize). You don't loose framerates during gameplay is you set properly the game for you.
The game has his own benchmark.

The gameplay is amazing and very simple. You're mission always is control enemy command points and fortifying them.
The hard in the game is how to do that (especially in multiplayer - you must team with other players to win the map.)
The single player campaign tells a good story and give you an idea of what you can find online.
You must play the campaign to get use to the game.

Oh, well thanks for the info, I guess I could pick it up.
    Oh, I have a AMD 64 3200+, 2 GB RAM, Radeon X1600XT and Vista...
Around medium-low settings I guess then?

Since my friend has 7600GT which is similar to 1600XT and he plays with medium settings with some of the options turned high, I think you can make it exactly the same
