I preordered the game and it says it will arrive on 9-3-08. For pre ordering I get an extra skinpack. I just hope the song from the commercial for the game is in the game. Cause as lame as it is, i like it. It's been stuck in my head for a few days now...lol

Biggest pile of ever. Another Game that EA has ruined.

I loved the first mercenaries, amazing game, but the new just sucks totally.

i agree it could be better, but what annoying me the most is supposedly i can run this game just fine according to www.systemrequirementslab.com.. but i get a bunch of lag turning up the settings all the way.. like particle level to high and 8x AA..

i could run crysis just fine at medium/high graphics settings and it looked better and this game runs worse and looks worse and the highest resolution i can get is 1280 x 960

This game was one of the best , now that EA got over it look at it took a 5.0 review on gamespot and ign

My story:

I've got the game now and I was disappointed...

Most of the coolest features and cool stuff from Mercs 1 weren't in the game ... Like the easy money making (Blow an NK jeep up to get $2000), the smart AI, the wars that sometimes appeared on a road and the easy-to-drive vehicles. None of those are in Mercs 2. The AI is totally crap, vehicles drive like a toy car, money is tight and can only be found on several spots or being earned through missions and the wars aren't really there any more (unless I've missed it). EA has done a crap job on this game and they should've taken on with Mercs 1 instead of building it up from the ground ...

I play on highest, but the Anti Aliasing is non existent, it's meant to be on 8x, yet everything has pointy edges. =/


And where are my resolutions, I wanted 1680x1050, but I get 1280x720 as a highest, ruined a series which could have had a chance at being big. Now it's just a 1 good game, and a dead series.

i briefly played the first one, and from what ive heard.. you get money from destroying anything and everything.. thats great.. can lead to lots of fun, but isnt challenging at all especially with cheats.. money in the second one comes from missions.. i found out if you beat ewans winching mission.. you can wager more and more money each time.. and its an easy mission so its easy money
