I use the mouse for my forward movement and I was able to remap from W to use of the right mouse button in order to do this. So it can be done. I just liked the way they used to do games where all of this was already taken care of.

wow whine much? The key's have been mapped for MOST FPS/MMO games to WSAD for years. I don't see how its "harder" short of only having 1 useful hand as the one person said, as all the other keys you need are within an inch or two of the wsad keys.

Short of wanting to use your mouse with your left hand there's really no need to sit sideways, have your keyboard sideways and everything just so you can use the arrow keys.

If you don't like it fine, but why are you complaining about it on a new game, its not like this is a new thing.

The reason games use the wasd configuration is because the rest of the keys are close. I did once configure a game to use esdf instead of wasd but unfortunately i couldn't get used to it and I quickly moved on. It was much more effective, though.

no problem here either i re mapped the movement keys to the arrows too, also i use a trackball to look around in the game too. its alot easier to play shooter games with a trackball.
