Need for Speed: ProStreet Message Board  

I've visited the other 2 topics about their trainer not working just like mine only they get a solution by downloading the fix. I downloaded this fix myself and when it is fully downloaded i click on the program, It opens up and then my screen turns black then the window pops-up asking if i want to send an error report.
Any help? Thanks

Did you actually replace your original NFS exe with the one from the fix? or did you just try and run it from the desktop or something? You have to use the fix properly for the trainer to work with it.

Erm... i just downloaded the file form the link that you gave in another post and once it had downloaded i just double clicked on it and it ran but after a few seconds my screen just went totally black and the error thing came up(The 'send error report' one)

You need to replace (backup first) the exe from your original game with the one from the fix archive. You can't just run it from anywhere. Has to be in the original location where the game is installed.

So how would i do that?

Find the location of your game installation. You can right click on the shortcut to the game and do properties. Now go to that folder using windows explorer and rename the original .exe file to .bak. Now extract the no-cd version of the file to that folder and then run the game from your original shortcut.

I found the location,i looked at the propertires and i copied the path,then i put it in internet explorer and tryied to set it to .bak insted of .exe but it said it could. so i went to properties and changed it ther but when i did it said the path was incorrect or sommthing. :s
