In both World Builder and the game, you just click, hold and move your mouse in the direction you want the object to face. World Builder especially, can help you with getting the exact angle, since you can punch in the direction in degrees (zero degrees is east). That's one of the reasons why it's advertised as a 3-D game (the other is rotating the entire playing field). To do the second (in parenthesis), without selecting an object, do the hold and turn with your mouse. Another way is to use the Number pad, 4 is to the left, 6 is to the right, and 5 is to reset the position.
