Ok dude you are talking about Master Cheif the greatest mystery in the Gamer world. Really all we know is he was a crazy experiment to become a super soldier and his name is John. And almost anyone who has even cared about the game would love to see his face to get a better prospective of the character they have controled and grown to know and understand.

He is the genetically enhanced clone of a boy named John. His official UNSC name is SPARTAN-117, or John-117. And TBH, I haven't really cared for what he looks like. And I LOVE Halo.

Just FYI there are books of halo and he's briefly described in that. Pale face short brown hair, I don't remeber much anymore but the best bit is you imagine what he looks like.
As long as you can kick some ass playin the game you dont realy need to see his face to make it worth while.

Obviously that was an easter egg in the Halo 3 Beta. Perhaps Bungie put that in the Beta with purpose...and intended for it to come out in the final game...

This only hinted that we would see the face of the Chief in the final game...

i dunno. if the face was real, wouldn't it show the rest of the body when the camera moved away?
