I've been wondering what the "Affinity" on weapons do. I figured it isn't for sharpness since the Guns have them too. So, anyway, if you know it would be nice if you told me here.

And as my question might be answered pretty fast, use this thread to ask us about things that you don't know and annoy you. There's probably been this question answered already and a similar thread, but it's always good having a new clean one

I already told you, when affnity is positive (like 30%) you have a chance of 30% to hit higher than usual, but when it's negative(like -30%) you have 30% chance to hit less than usual.

actually affinity is when you have a chance of doing 25% more damage, e.g, blue wing has 10% affininty, so 1 in ten hits will do a quarter extra damage than what the weapon is actually capable of, you will know if you are using affinity because the slash will glow red and the monster will flinch.
    Favourite Weapon:
    Akantor Bow/ Katana

    Favourite Armour:
    Dark Akantor

and will go purplish if it has negative affinity. you can increase this with the "expert" skill points to give you reckless abandon, i think thats what its called.

Y'know on the Teostra and Lunastra - without getting close to them - you still get damaged because of that fire thing growing around them, is it possible to get rid of it with the "Terrain" skill?
