is it normal that i get drunk with no tox on?

I have been struggling to get the trainer running (never heard the activated) and think I have almost everything inline with the info available to no effect.

I then tried using CoSMOS v5.3 and that didn't work either at first, until I turned stealth mode(Kernelmode) on, in the extras tab then everything with this worked fine. I am on XP Sp2 running as a user with Administrator privileges. So the one thing I may be doing wrong is not actually logging in as administrator? in order for the trainer to work.

Is it that obvious, if so how do I get XP to log me in as administrator, there is no option at startup, or do I need to do override a dll or registry setting?

If you're not hearing activated when you press F1 then either:

a) Your F-lock key is not on.
b) You have something blocking the trainer from accessing the game (antivirus, antispyware, other security related software)
c) The trainer is not recognizing the game (using a digital download or incorrect version). You can try using a no-cd fix in this case to see if it makes a difference.

My set up is

a) There is no Function lock
b) I run norton, and have tried after uninstalling it, as well is switching everything off. I have re installed it. cheats engine works fine with norton active, but can see this doesn't necessarily mean its Ok with the trainer.
c) Trainer is 1.1a game is retail cd bought in box upgraded to 1.1.0.1119

I didn't want to list all the things I have tried as the troubleshooting guide is good, and a few things were clarified in the posts as well. I can understand its impossible to debug every PC which will be different, I think this is something less obvious. The next step is probably a rebuild for me and see what that does.

If I move to Vista 64 bit is it likely to work, there are some items in the troubleshooting guide but I hope no show stoppers

Have you tried running the trainer AFTER the game has been started and/or pressing F1 after you've started or loaded your savegame?

Are you sure the graphic on the trainer you're using says 1.1a and not 1.1?

it hasn't worked, don't know if it helps but I was able to alt tab to run the trainer with the game loaded and then move focus back to the game without a full task switch, but could listen to the sound. when I pressed F1 the status bar on the trainer repeatedly flickered about once every two seconds "succesful injection" with "witcher.exe loading" the rest of the time.
did it properly as well after a re load with the game.
