I really would have liked to have went one on one with gravemind, and the last level was so "halo 1" but the ending was fairly satisfying (if you watch the second part)
I'd love to know where (or if) there going with the plotline from here. All "Smart AIs" go rampant after seven years of life in the halo universe, so cortana will most likely either be crazy or dead come the next sequel if there is one, which disappoints me.
Crazy.
I'm still sticking with bungie turning her mad. It's their style...
Also, maybe it's because I hadn't had enough sleep when I finished the game, but how did the Arbiter get back to earth? If the part of the ship that Cortana and the Chief were on made it through, and the other half didn't... Well, he would've had to have been on one of those sides, one way he gets destroyed, and the other he'd be stuck with MC and Cortana?:s I should probably reply the last level so I don't look like such a fool... Wait, that's not a longsword he jumps into is it?

The ship gets ripped in half during the portal, leaving chief in the middle of nowhere and the arbiter headed back to new mombasa. The ship is a UNSC Frigate, bigger than a pelican or longsword, but smaller than a ship like the pillar of autumn.
Oh, i'm fully aware that the main ship is a Frigate. When the arbiter jumps behind a set of controls though, they didn't look like the main controls of a Frigate though.
Cortana says, "We made it through, just as it collapsed. Well... Some of us made it." I took this for the rest of them being dead, but they made it through the portal. Not, the arbiter made it through and they didn't? Perhaps that's just Cortana's theory though, and in reality it did happen as you've said.
