I have typed ELINOR in runes at the rune door til I am blue in the face and it will not open. Do I need to do something else first ?
I do realize that the passage way to continue is to the left and not straight ahead, but I still cannot go on.

After typing elinor the door won't open because it is false. The real door is in the left side of the rune panel. You may take a look at these FAQs too. Link
