i ran the game again and then ran the trainer again. After pressing F1 this time, trainer said "Custom keys loaded"

but I am only getting the third trainer option "Instant Tactical" activated
all the other trainer options are disabled. I do have troops down on the ground.

Try loading the trainer AFTER loading the game (as Administrator) and see what it does.

and not sure what you mean by 'disabled' ... you don't hear the sounds when you press the keys you assigned? You didn't assign any keys that they game already uses did you?

If I do that and then go in-game and press F1, I do not hear "activated" and the trainer says "wic.exe loading!" and does not do a thing after that.

and the keys I am choosing are not used by the game.

I guess I'll connect a keyboard to my laptop and use the default numpad keys

Sorry... not sure what the problem might be. We've got thousands of other people using the trainer without difficulty, but I don't know how many are using the customizer. It sounds like Windows is just not allowing the trainer to attach to the game properly. Antivirus, priveledges, something.

I love the trainer and it also was the reason to finally become a real member here.

But there is one little thing i noticed while playing Pine Vally again in the full version. Im not sure it is trainer related but I couldnt finish the secondary objective to save the artillery with option 1-3 (and 5-6 + 8, but i dont think those really matter) on. I tried 3 times but i always failed because an unlimited supply of troops came, after this i tried 2 times with only 8 on and was able to complete the objective both times.

I wonder if anybody was able to complete that objective wit 1-3 on or if it is a trainer problem, the objective itself was already taking seemingly random amounts of time in the demo, so it might just be a game glitch.

Yeh, we had a couple of issues like this in Bioshock. It's difficult for us to anticipate how some of the options may affect scripted events or game objectives. Game doesn't expect what the trainer is doing or gives you and just doesn't know how to respond to it. Sometimes it may result in an overflow or crash, while others it may just never trigger the scripted event or objective properly. Once multiple people start identifying problem areas in the game and what options to avoid in those areas, we add it to the readme.

something is blocking the trainer from activating if you get the loading message and it never says ready or has the sound "activated".

here is the proper way to do this.

run the customizer, make sure you add the same number of custom keys as in the trainer. save the file to the same location as the trainer.

make sure you run the trainer as administrator and run it-

run the game. at the menu, press F1

listen for activated sound

if you don't get that sound something is blocking the trainer for attaching to the game.

if you hear activated, then the new keys should work then!
