Lol yeah it's really slow, but it's a base. Not a vehicle to really storm the enemy base.

I think it only appears on Sandtrap, that's the only map so far confirmed with the elephant and it's been confirmed that Sandtrap is by far the largest multiplayer map ever in all three Halo games.

And I think there are two turrets, one on the side and one on the back corner.

Yeah the new maps are supposed to be huge.
I wonder if they will still have Big team battle on live.

They will. Not sure if it will be 6v6 (like in the beta) or 8v8 (like Halo 2).
