is there a certain compadability version i should use? i have vista...

1) Make sure the game version is same as trainer's version
2) Try to run it under WinXP compatibility and also log in as Admin.

i tried, it says that it will only run under windows 95/98 (or something like that). plus ive tried every compadability mode and it wont work. how do i find out what version of the trainer/game do i have?

This trainer is for version 1.0 (see the readme.txt file of the archive). About your game version, it usually shows it in the start menu of the game.

I am using version 1.0 on vista with the compatibility mode set to either windows 95 or windows 98/ME the trainer responds "RUNTIME.ICD Must be running before you can use this trainer"
however I do have the game running a loaded game. any help would be appreciated.

I have found a workaround using CoSMOS. If you cannot get the trainer to work
attach CoSMOS to RUNTIME.ICD
find and freeze address 05C2C95F

This will freeze the values of the rings and seteks
