dont know where it is but will find out and post

Thats a typo, the armour rating is in fact, 10.

Again, the best normal armour in the game is Daedric. It doesnt matter if youre a master Light Armour, in the end Deadric wins, any other armour fails. In fact, the only Heavy Armour that is weaker than Glass, is Steel. Thats right. The stuff you get at level 3. Beats having to get to level 20 to find Glass, huh?

I just had someone ask me this yesterday. Fact is, there are just too many factors to give a straightforward answer. Armor reduces spell effectiveness slightly, so enchanted robes or clothing would be better for a Mage (who can conjure Bound gear anyway), whereas a melee character, say, a warrior, would be best with heavy armor to provide maximum protection in combat. Stealthy characters, at fairly low levels anyway, should probably consider light armor, as it provides some protection without weighing them down (need to carry loot, after all) or compromising stealth detection (The weight of your boots affects it until a sneak skill of 50). Personally, for my assassin, I use the Black Hand robes (which have no armor rating at all) from the end of the Dark Brotherhood questline for the skill fortifications and just try to stay hidden. The most consistent armor throughout the game (although only available to "good" characters) is probably the Crusader's armor from Knights of the Nine, for it can be re-adjusted to your level on a regular basis. If you don't have that particular add-on, then Imperial Dragon Armor is probably the safest choice. There are ways to get decent starting gear if you have just begun, however.

Magic-Mythic Dawn Robes in Imperial prison. Easy.

Combat-Join the Fighters Guild; Among all the branches throughout Cyrodiil, you should be able to get at least close to a full set of Steel Armor. If you follow any series of quests for some time, better loot will turn up as you level.

Stealth-Kill Someone. This starts off the Dark Brotherhood questline, in which you get some great light armor that should last you quite some time.

I apologize for the excessive length of this post; however, I simply wanted to provide thorough advice. And no, The Mythic Dawn agents do not wear Bound Armor. They have their own special spell to get theirs. If you read this whole thing, I thank you for your patience.

No it isn't. Bound is better for mages and thiefs(it weighs nothing).
