yes you should, this game is, in my opinion, better thatn halo 1 2 and 3 combined (to me none are that great)

and on legend of zelda twilight princess, i had over 60 hours invested, then a friend accidentally saved over it, so i invested 30 more hours into it

well i'm not sure about that. i had all the Elder Scrolls games, but apart from the graphics, this game was a big dissapointment. anyway i'd say well over 2000+ hrs.

lets see, oblivion was released near the start of 2006 and i'v played it about 50+ times from 8 in the morning 'til 10:00-10:30 at night. for the first 8 months, then i slowed down and it was only about every second day

so roughly 4weeks in a month and eight months and 14hrs per day 98hrs per week, so 3136hrs at 14hrs per day for 8 months

ans=3136 hrs and i'm still playing it so it's well past the 5000+ i'd say.

    My conclusion:
I have way too much time to spare.

Whoah, you DO have too much time on your hands....
Anyway, with that gaming rig you own I wouldn't be suprised you spent so long on it. It's a great game, but my PC can't handle the Shivering Isles, it's too chugy only working at 15fps....
Now I've spent about 200+ hours on Oblivion alone...

Yes, oblivion dose rate highley, and is probably better than halo 1 and 2 mainly becaust of the quality of the game play and the sheer amount of time you can spend on it. But im not sure about halo 3 when it is released, ive herd its going to be good. But this is off topic posting, so no more about halo.

oblivion got a 93% from PC Gamer mag

i think the only reason it got that was for the graphics and speech- a "next-gen" game.

anyway all these hours are going to be but a faint memory now that i've started a business. i will not have as much time as i did, and it's probably for the better. i think i get withdrawl symptoms when i'm away from the computer for more than 3 or 4 hours, that *Cant* be healthy. that brings a whole new meaning to "Oblivion is Really Adictive"

Finally rented it yesterday, seems pretty good so far...I'm on the road to that town with the red 'main objective' marker, I'm nearly there...

I picked a Nord, I found the creation of your character was quite tedious though...they should've just done all the faces themselves beforehand then simply choose one that most closely resembles yourself, the random images they did sucked though
