Not with DK, there are individual character KOs as well as the top records.

Not with DK, there are individual character KOs as well as the top records.

you can pretty much just get in the middle of the stage and do that thing where he pounds on the ground

On endless, yes, on cruel, no.
The wire frames need to be hit at least three times with it before it kills, they need to hit you twice before it is impossible for DK to come back, also the female ones tend to sweet spot kick a fair amount (short hopped f-air/ b-air).
