actually, it is not V-Sync...my bad. V-Sync is an option in the graphics part of the game. It is actually a new feature that is used in NFSC that was never used before in the previous NFS's. It is also used in GTA San Andreas.
Anyway, the game crashed after that, and i had to reboot my computer (*posts this with reluctance*). So, it worked a little bit fine while i was challenging that moronic idiot, but it still wasn't that good. The next prob that happened WHILE I WAS RACING was that a pipe was in the middle of the canyon, there were barriers that had darius' face on it, and i was "levitating" on the road (this may sound weird and retarded, but it is true!). So, i need some BIG help here. Also, i have all the latest drivers installed, and i have DirectX 10. so, can somebody help me here, and not post ridiculous stuff that "oh, i don't know haw to do that" or something of that sort. so, i need help pronto as you see.

well if u need help pronto then try this out, maybe it'll help: install older drivers like the type of directX 9.0 c and maybe it'll work. mine's working at optimum power. only at first i had some crashes but then, without noticying, it didn't crashed at all (i mean the game)
anyway my pc has an amd athlon proccesor of 1.83 ghz and 512 mb of ram and a graphic card of 128 mb, a nvidia geforce fx 5200 graphics card, or in other words a really bad performance computer but good enough so i can play carbon on it and i haven't updated the directX only when i installed a last game that had directX 9 c included.
i hope it helped but i doubt it will but try it out it doesn't hurt to see if it works

try setting all the graphic setting to lowest possible, i had to do that when i played on my old computer
i dont know much about computers, but that help me.
also, try to save up, then maybe u can get a better graphics card (if u want to run Carbon, try aiming for a ATI Radeon 8600)
hope that helped!

how about changing the current directx to directx 9c and maybe it will work. but still... it's fun to see angie without a head...maybe she lost her head. the only graphics prob that i had is when a race started and the cinematic camera showed the line up from under the road but that happens very rare and it comes back to normal after a sec or two, so it ain't all that bad like the trouble u have. try my idea for a size, if it isn't working, then try out something else. good luck

dunno. after i played a little bit without challenging angie, her head came back. but that was freaky, cuz she looked like one of those beheaded horseback riders.
@JC: okay, let me tell this to you strait...NFS carbon will NOT RUN under directX 9.0! i had to download DX 10 so that i could install carbon! now do you understand why i can't downgrade to DX 9?
